so i dropped 20 pounds on my big toe at the gym. i didnt pay attention to the weight that was on the barbell and just slid off the 45 pounder. down it goes right on my toe and did not even touch any part of my foot. just the damn toe. pain suddenly engulfed me and i tried to walk it off but it didnt work. slowly i felt a squishy feeling in my shoe, the same feeling when you step into a rain puddle and your socks are wet. i took off my shoe and i see a big red spot on my sock. i continued to take off the sock and blood is leaking from the beginning part of the nail. theres a crack. i start walking to the locker room and little did i know i leave a trail of blood which was cool. but i dont think its a good idea when someone sees u washing off blood from your smelly foot on the same sink they wash their hands in. so i head back and leave another trail. now my toe is black and swollen and looks dead. and it still hasnt stopped bleeding.

i found something to do on sunday nights besides going to see my grandma. for the past month, ive been hanging out at my friend's house every sunday evenings. my grandma just lives down the street so its convenient. its chill there listening to music, watching movies and smoking hooka. i also bring a steak there everytime to cook it.

my brother brought home a bunch of classic gangster movies from the 80's. ive been watching them everynight. they are like the scarface of chinese movies. its called "a better tomorrow" parts 1 and 2. chow yuen fat is the main star and slaughters a bunch of people. brings back memories.

my brother came down for this whole week and after reading the OC metro the other day about the st regis resort in dana point, i find out he is staying there for a conference. lucky for him, its all paid by his boss. i might have to go down there just to take advantage of the luxurious amenities they have to offer.

tonight i watched a tarantino-like movie produced in korea. it is called "old boy". although its in subtitles, i can confidently say that this movie IS the best movie ive ever watched about revenge. to some of you, it might be sick and twisted, but its sooo genius. thats all i have to say. so go rent the dvd and watch it.

on friday night, i had a 3-hour conversation with my 29-year old cousin from nyc who is about to get married. we talked about everything. ive never had a convo that long with her before. i opened up and she opened up about life in general. shes like a sister very easy to talk to. i might have to make another trip to the big apple in nov.
