on memorial day, i find out the malls were open so i go with my parents. i had to get some summer clothes for the hot weather anyways. we end up at robinsons-may and my dad said hell pay since he had 15% off on his robinsons-may card. i was like, fuck yea! so i went off to pick out some tank tops and a pair of jeans. then i come back to him and said i wanted these clothes. seeing that i only had a few plain things, he said ok. the cashier scanned the 3 things i got and said the total was $180. my dad gave me a weird look. he was like you got a plain white tank top, a plain black cut off sleeve, and a pair of aged jeans with holes. he thought theyd be inexpensive since they were plain and torn up. my dad paid for it this time, but next time i wont be that lucky :(

there was this mysterious, annoying girl in this picture i took, so i decided to mess around with paint shop. (note: this was only my second time experimenting with chopping photos)

it was so awesome not working on saturdays. i even forgot how it felt to have a normal saturday, but it was great. so friday was the day to start the long weekend with a bang. although i wasnt in the clubbing mood, the hype surrounding this 'danny tenaglia" dj got me curious. so off i go to avalon. the friday crowd there was surely different from a saturday crowd. im talking about how there were only a few cracked-out asians to be seen, but on the other hand, they were replaced by a bunch of queers. id rather see queers dance normally then the cracked out chinks waving their heads side to side. music-wise, danny was amazing.

my brother arrives from the bay area that morning. we talk till sunrise and he tells me he quit his job as being the top 3 investment banker of wells fargo bay area. i was like wtf??? instead, he got an offer at a smaller firm where the sky is the limit on how much he can make. im glad he is doing well. he also tells me he ended his 3 year relationship and behind this, was a thought-out plan on how he broke it off. it worked like a charm. and all this time i thought he was a swinger, but no, it was part of the plan. im happy for him and he is too.

my sister finally graduates, but like myself, decides to skip the ceremony. so now we get to call her doctor mui. its weird to actually have a doctor in the family. im proud of her.

saturday, i drove up to santa barbara to support my friend hosting a party. it was good to get away from the los angeles smog. picked up julia and anna and off we go. just leaving hollywood to get on the damn frwy took us 30min; talk about traffic. santa barbara is all about the bar scene. bars lined up the whole stretch of state street with the abundance of hip hop music. so we decided to let loose and the next thing you know, we were groovin to top 40 music. the night ended as things heated up, but i dont think santa barbara is ready for us party animals. we walked out of the bar talking out of our asses and it felt so good to be physically and mentally away from the slightest discomfort of life's problems. as i pulled out of the parking, a cop pulled me over. its been like my 10th time getting pulled over and i was used to being relaxed at situations like these. he did the whole eyeball test on me and what not, and off i go back to hollywood. the drive was extra torturous seeing the 2 fast asleep while i make the 2hour drive back. i crash at their place and woke up fresh thinking it was 2pm when it was only 9am. why the hell doesnt this happen at my place?

sunday, my dad takes me to check out some homes in the area. he found a brand new development that is awaiting to be built. it was in a prime location and great for investment. he tells me that he would pay the down payment for me if i took care of the mortgage and share the earned equity with him in the future. how could anyone turn down an offer like that!?
