i am patient but not that patient when it comes to something i really need. although its only been 9 weeks, im beginning to worry about my right arm because of the fact that i have limited range of motion. a normal person can bend their elbow from 0 (fully extended) - 150 degrees (fully bent) whereas i can only bend it 10-80 degrees. my orthopaedic surgeon i was assigned to after i was discharged from UCI is a really pessimistic doctor. he always tells me im screwed and there is nothing i can do about it unless some another crazy surgery is done. i read an article where a girl had a similar injury and it took years to heal. from what they say, itll take 1 month for the elbow to move 2 degrees with proper rehab. so i have 70 degrees to go which will take 35 months.

update: i can type pretty well now with both hands. i just cant write yet with my right so i am still considered a lefty. i can use the chopsticks with ease on the left also. i can walk without a cane short distances but going up or down steps is still scary. i tried driving and it was easy although only using my left. every week makes a dramatic difference.

tonight back to the gym!
