week one of my return to bodybuilding has finally passed. let me tell you that it was a really crappy week. you know you can lift more but your mind doesnt let you. the only thing that made me go through was thinking that ill get sore even lifting 5 lbs dumbbells. the reason behind that is whenever you feel sore, it means you have shocked a muscle enough for re-growth and strength. doubt if you want, i know how my body reacts.
on wednesday i asked my dad to get me plane tickets to arizona. without hesitation, he straight out says
dad: "for jackie's graduation?\
me: yea
dad: when are you leaving and coming back?
me: thursday night and coming back saturday morning
dad: how much?
me: 87 plus a shipping fee
dad: i dont want you driving there cuz gas would be more.
i cant believe it was so easy. usually when i ask him to buy stuff, i would need a real convincing motive behind it. such as:
me: i need to buy new headlights for my car.
dad: why?
me: the lenses are fogged up.
dad: does it still work?
me: yes, but its dim.
dad: as long as it works, you dont need new ones.
me: (2nd reason) it doesnt look good on my car.
dad: did brian replace his?
me: no, his arent fogged.
dad: if he doesnt need it, you dont.
me: his arent fogged up yet.
dad: how much is it?
me: 175 bucks
dad: thats expensive.
me: im buying generic ones. real ones are over $300
dad: the quality might not be as good.
me: they are all the same.
dad: do you know how to install them?
me: yea.
dad: (long silence) ok go get my credit card.
the conversation was similar to this and it took about 10 minutes to scam him in buying me some headlights. next, gear install.
there are so many things happening on June 21 2003. First is phillip's reception. second is the NPC Western Collegiates, and third is the AVN convention. i did plan on going to the NPC collegiates to scope out the competition because that is the one ill be in, but the wedding is far too important. i hopefully i can find someone to spy on the competition for me and take some photos paid by me.
