i will be attending the world's largest supplement tradeshow from march 6th - 9th at the anaheim convention center. There will be over 2,400 booths each representing a company. And whenever there is an expo, you get free stuff! Admission is $450 for all 4 days. Do you think i would pay $450 for a trade show? Maybe, but this time i got hooked up by the manager at GNC Diamond Bar. So i get in for free. Members will have the privilege to eat free breakfasts everyday after a free workout at dawn inside the anaheim hilton. then during the day, the tradeshow will go on and at night, there will be a dance in the conference center at the hilton. wow i cant wait. yes, another solo experience but a rewarding one.

dang, i almost killed my car twice the past 2 days. the first night, a big rig jackknifed over a fire hydrant and flooded the streets. being immature, i went through it wide oped throttle and my tires started to spin in the water. the water was deep where i stayed put and just spun out. half year ago, i installed an intake system that pointed the air filter down near the ground. with the deep water, the engine started to die because the air filter sucked up some water. i think water went inside my engine. if large amounts went in, it could mean a new car.

my mustang has bald tires, but akash told me its still good if you cant see the wear markers. the wear markers are like circular marks that tell you its time to change the tire. but i also learned in drivers ed that if you can see lincoln's head of the penny on the tire tread then its also time to change. using the penny, i can see lincolns head plus the edge of it. I have Z-rated tires so i dont think the penny test applies to this kind of low profile tire. so today the streets were wet from the rain. i made a sharp left because the signal was still green from far and there werent any cars. then i gassed it a little during the last half of the turn and i spun out. the car did a 270 degree turn and my front bumper was sitting on top of the center divider. good thing it was the front bumper because it has lots of clearance from the engine and internals. so phew, no body damage or anything, no scratches, and no metal contact.

phillip was following me so he saw the whole thing. he stopped and we both checked out the front end. next time, i should learn how to drift.

i learned lisa loeb songs on the guitar. stay.

phillip lin, my asian bro, asked me to be one of his groomsmen. i am honored to be one of the few men who have this wonderful opportunity. i cant wait till the wedding because i know something that big requires heavy duty planning and phillip is the one person who would go all out on something special like this. it is gonna be a fun and beautiful wedding. now if i can just get a countdown timer like phillip's. its like around 100 more days or something. i dunno but its soon.

i had some tickets to the lisa loeb and her meet and greet so i decided to go. it was at the coach house in san juan capistrano. sucks i didnt have anyone else to go with but i met some very nice white people who sat around me. they put me front and center with dinner reserved for me; a 12oz new york steak. it is the best charbroiled steak i have ever eaten and i cleaned the plate. will hoge opened for her. from nashville, his style, looks, and voice sounded like of john mayer's. then lisa loeb came out. her looks were simple yet beautiful. shes been a babe since her first song came out and she hasnt changed. girls that play taylor guitars rock. her voice is so clear and her guitar playing skills are so much better than mines. she must have played more than 12 songs and i enjoyed every one of them.

after the show, i got a chance to meet lisa loeb. i asked how long she played guitar and she said for 15 years. then she asked if i played and i said yea but not as good as you. she laughed and said she had a couple people who taught her. then i asked whats with the hello kitty? she said she likes cats and have cats at home. after, i wanted to propose to her then and there but there were too many people. so maybe next time. i left with a picture, a hug, and her autograph on my ticket stub. dang i shouldve asked for her number.

go listen to lisa loeb - someone you should know

have you ever took a trip down historic route 66? For you americans who dont know what route 66 is; it is the hwy travelers used to take from the midwest to the coast. now, it is made up of a bunch of familiar streets such as colorado blvd, foothill blvd, baseline rd, national trails hwy etc. today i followed my very knowledgeable geo professor to the towns of cadiz and amboy. i woke up at the butt crack of dawn and carvaned 200 miles east of civilization to the great mohave desert. i didnt carpool because i dont plan on camping out overnight. about 50 miles east of barstow is the town of amboy. there we visited the amboy crater and the pisgah crater, both dormant volcanic cinder cones. route 66 passes through the town of amboy and about a century ago, motorists would pass by this town bringing business to the locals. since interstate 40 opened, the town became vacant. this town is so small you can walk through it in about 2 minutes. the owner of amboy is selling the whole town for a quarter Million. he even named all the shops with his first name such as roy's gas station, roy's cafe, roy's church etc. so if anyone wants this privilege, fork out 250 M bucks. after this stop, we situated 15 miles east of amboy in cadiz. with some fun off-roading, we setup our camp on the foothills of the marble mountains to hunt for fossils. it was a long hike up the 1000 foot steep hills to reach the thin vein of shale that is exposed near the top half of the mountain range. these hills date back to 1.4 billion years ago but the fossils are only 540 million years old. we had high expectations of finding an abundance of complete fossils, but later on finding out it took a great deal of patience. i only managed to find about a pair of descent looking trilobites. i am satisfied. approaching sunset we hiked back down and i took the solo trip back home. the others camped overnight for the morning trip into the caverns. as much as i wanted to, my schedule didnt allow me to stay. driving solo through alien towns were always one of my favorite things to do. sorta reminds me of the western days. highway country was the only radio station most of the way. so that was cool. at the end of my trip, i racked up 450 miles on the odometer and with 91 octane and soaring gas prices, i spent 45 bucks on gas. i should have went to vegas.

so now youve learned something about california history.
